News Internal source revealed that Hot Strip Mill EPS Project and No. 2 Super Fine Project of TISCO were granted the “High Quality Metallurgical Project Prize 2014” days ago.
The High Quality Metallurgical Project Prize is an award based on annual evaluation to the projects in China metallurgical industry organized by China Metallurgical Construction Association. 54 projects around China in the industry were granted the prize this year.
The EPS project, i.e. the project of coil surface treatment processing line of TISCO 2250mm Hot Strip Mill, adopts internationally state-of-the-art technology and advanced control process. It is featured with wise equipment configuration, low energy consumption, advanced technology process, record-breaking project schedule and quality. The project was started from the end of October in 2012, putted into production at the end of May in 2013, and reached the designed capacity on July 16 in the same year. The line improves surface quality of hot rolled material, meets the special requirements from high-end users and special applications, and at the same time avoids the environmental impact of conventional pickling process.
No.2 Super Fine Project is the second phase of TISCO blast furnace slag deep processing project. It plays a significant role in the company’s circular economy development. Based on the principle of adapting advanced, reliable and economical technology, the project chose internationally first-class equipments and technologies in its key part and local designing and materials in its auxiliary part. This kind of combination assures advanced technology level and low engineering cost. Besides, the line is designed to comply with the rule of low energy consumption and the regulations regarding environment, emission-cutting, and clean production. This project and the existing first phase equipment will form a perfect pair to deeply process all the slag of TISCO and make a considerable contribution to the circular economy of TISCO.
